HaTe® silo sacks are used to fix/ballast down HaTe® silo protection grids placed over silos. HaTe® silo sacks  are normally laid on top of the overlaps and edges of HaTe® silo protection grids. It is worthwhile from a practical point of view to stack silo sacks removed from a silo on a standard pallet. Unused HaTe® silo sacks should be placed in store, which will considerably extend their service life.

HaTe® silo sacks are made from polyethylene woven fabric. They are highly UV-stable and available in standard sizes 27 x 100 cm and 27 x 120 cm (each in packs of 50 sacks). Standard colors are green and black.

They are closed by cords or tie wire. There is a stamped out handle on the end opposite the filling end to make the silo sacks easier to lift and move around. The silo sacks are filled with uncrushed gravel (smallest particle size  > 2 mm) and should be filled to only 80% of their capacity, so that they have a larger contact area.
